Description: U.S.S. BABBITT (DD-128) She was a WICKES-class destroyer in the U.S. Navy during World War I and II, later classified as AG-102. She was named for Fitz Babbitt. As of 2010 no other ship in the U.S. Navy has borne that name. She was launched on 30 Sept. 1918 at New York Ship Building Co., Camden, New Jersey. The destroyer was 24 Oct. 1919 and reported to the Pacific Fleet. She was a 1,211 tons ship with length of 314.5' and beam of 31'8'. and draft of 8'8'. Speed 35 knots. Complement of 113 officers and enlisted. Decommissioned 25 Jan. 1945 and sold for scrapping 5 June 1946. (WIKIPEDIA)
