Description: US Marine dress uniform skirt. 56% polyester and 44% wool. Size 8 long. Made of gabardine cloth with a full rayon liner. The skirts are new with tags. MADE IN USA. Main body of the skirt is made of gabardine cloth. Gabardine is a twill fabric weave in which the fabric is woven into a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs. The fewer interlacings in twills allow the yarns to move more freely, and thus they are softer and more pliable, and drape better. Twills also recover better from wrinkles than plain-weave fabrics. Twill fabric will not show soil as do plain-weave fabrics. Inner liner is made of rayon with a tyicot weave. The texture of tricot is a little different from some other types of weave, the pattern of tricot fabric is a close knit design with the fibers running lengthwise while employing an interlooped yarn pattern.
