There are 8 grommets and 24 pairs of alternating male and female snaps around the perimeter of the outside edge. You can also snap the ends of two tarps together if you want a larger tarp. We found that pin holes does not affect the gears performance. Grade 3 Excessive Use : This gear can still be used but had a rougher life. They show heavier stains, and or may still have a hole, tear, peeling and or seam tape that could be repaired if needed. This is great as extra gear or as a great budget item.
