The tarp is made of ripstop nylon, and is coated with a fire resistant urethane to make waterproof. The tarps offer a reversible color scheme to better match the natural surroundings, and the underside is either foliage green or desert tan in color. These tarps are a true multiple use item. The tarp has 8 grommets with cord / bungee tie-downs (depending on condition, please read all information below regarding condition) to use in various hanging configurations. It can be suspended by the two center grommets and staked at the corners to create a complete shelter system. It can be snapped length wise to comprise a bivy cover for a sleeping bag or it can simply be laid on the ground as a waterproof barrier. There are also multiple snaps around the perimeter of the tarp that alternate male and female connectors. This allows you to snap the tarp to itself to shorten it or to create a drain channel.
