It seems that the patch might be a World War II origin if not then definitely post World War II but this cannot be absolutely determined and this is why this patch is being offered as surplus. The IX Corps was active from 1940 to 1994 in the Pacific Ocean region. This patch would make a great addition to any militaria collection or to be added to WWII or post WW II period uniforms.
