The stem is army mount vulcanite with a bit halfway between slot and orific. The embossed stamp in the front is very interesting but I have no idea what it means. The overall design of the case and pipe indicate a late 1800's date. I have not done any restoration to this pipe, but I don't believe it would take much to get it ready for smoking. Length on billiards is measured end-to-end. Length on bent pipes is measured from the tip of the stem straight across to the far end of the bowl. Thanks for looking!
