Description: On auction is a late 60's Universal Geneve White Shadow Date. This one has been kept in top shape all around! Original strap was too stiff to be usable, so it has been replaced by a brand new aftermarket leather strap in black. Even though these used to be sold as a men's dress watch, a 34mm case of these models should be perfectly suitable for ladies as well. The original Universal Geneve box, World Service booklet and buckle are included as well. Like with most vintage mechanical watches, i cannot guarantee an accurate timekeeping. Regulating the watch may be needed if accuracy is required. Since these are over 50 years old, a full service is highly suggested for daily use. Case: Case in 34mm in diameter, 36mm with the crown included and 8mm in height. Full stainless steel case with a polished & brushed finish and a screw down case back. The case is in beautifully preserved condition with just some small blemishes that are barely visible. On the case back, there's more visible scratches and small dings. Crown: Original stainless steel crown signed by Universal Geneve. Fully operational and without any cosmetic damage.Dial: Original White dial with Black hands, Black non-numeral hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock. The dial is in beautiful condition with some slight patina at the very edges of the dial.Crystal: Original acrylic crystal signed in the center by Universal Geneve. Superb condition for its age.Strap: Brand new aftermarket leather strap in Black with a Silver buckle in a polished finish. The original Universal Geneve signed buckle is included as well. Weight: 38g with the strap included.Movement: Original in-house MicroRotor automatic movement from Universal Geneve in caliber 2-67 with 25 jewels. Fully functional. No service records on this movement.
