Description: Unique Bird Novelty Antique Greetings Postcard. EMB, Glitter, Gold. SITS UP This is a very nice and colorful NOVELTY POSTCARD from the early 1900s that is UNIQUE and possibly RARE. It is EMBOSSED and it has a flying BIRD holding a note and it SITS UP away from the postcard. The postcard is AIR BRUSHED with color, and it has both GLITTER as well as GOLD TRIM. This is a "Congratulations" Greetings postcard, and it has 1912 written on it. The message on the back says that it was sent to congratulate a WEDDING. The postcard has flowers on the left side that have glitter all over them. The bird's wings have gold trim. The bird is attached to the postcard with paper, and it can be lifted so it sits up off the base, about 1/4 inch. This is a unique and possibly rare NOVELTY postcard. Not many postcards would have been made this way because of the extra steps it would take to make them. This is truly a collector item that will keep its value. This is a very appealing postcard that is pleasing to look at. The postcard is UNPOSTED, and it has a written date on the front of 1912. This was published during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). It would have been "Published in Germany". It has a DIVIDED back. This is a BETTER POSTCARD and is good for a collector or dealer. This postcard will keep its value! It is sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, stains and edge wear due to its age. The photos show the postcard and its back.
