Today, you're bidding on lot #1 -- an oval plate from the Union Pacific Railroad. This item is approximately 9 1/4" wide by 7 3/4" deep. It was made by Shenango China, and carries a "U. P. R. R." backstamp. It does show a good amount of surface scratches that would be consistent with normal use; however, it has no visible chips or cracks. On a scale of 1 to 5 (with 1 being "mint condition"), I would rate this item at a 3. Please note, I have not had this item authenticated; and while I believe it to be an authentic piece of railroad china, I make no guarantees as to its authenticity. What you see is what you get!
