Description: This piece has an interesting story. I was a friend and colleague of Robert Hurst for many years here in Austin before he passed away.We even did a TV interview together on the local news at one point... I am a painter of Blues musicians, and Robert had this unfinishedcanvas of Robert Johnson at his home and he gave it to me. Robert ended up doing a second painting of this, as he did not like something about it, and to be honest I cannot recall what that was specifically - but it is an amazing piece of original art. The guitar headstock was not finished - there are no tuning machines on it or logo.... but to be quite honest, the piece looks perfect as is. I never got around to having it stretched and framed - and now I am planning to relocate out of state and am selling off many collectibles from my musical collection. The canvas itself is 30 inches by 25 inches - his chalk marks are still on the canvas for where it should be stretched. This will be shipped rolled and very well packaged, insured of course - and will only be sold in the continental USA.
