Author Biography Jacquelyn Lee is a nineteen-year-old self-published author, poetess, and child/domestic abuse advocate. When she isnt writing, you can find her ordering an iced caramel macchiato at Starbucks or binge-watching episodes of Law and Order SVU. Her passion to advocate for child abuse is driven by her own abuse-ridden life growing up. With a mentally-ill mother and an alcoholic father, Jacquelyn was forced to grow up at a very early age. She and her younger siblings lived a life of dysfunction, neglect, and abuse. Shortly after her father committed suicide, Jacquelyn decided to tell her story to the world through her debut poetry book, under the influence. She wrote this book with every victim of domestic abuse on her heart. Jacquelyn understands how difficult it is to open up about domestic abuse in its many forms. She wants to give a voice to the voiceless and to inspire others to come forward with their stories. Jacquelyn is currently working on her second book and has many future endeavors in store.
