Description: Uncommon Vintage 3-Piece Tinned Steel "ROSE" ICE CREAM BOX MOLD (4 Qt.) ~ France Description of item... Here we have an unusual and uncommon vintage (possibly antique?) 3-piece tinned steel "ROSE" ICE CREAM BOX MOLD displaying an applied embossed Rose, Rose Bud and Leaves oval design on the lid --- believe to be made in France. All three pieces are constructed with edges/rims folded over wire (one surround on top and bottom pieces, two surrounds on middle piece.) It measures approx. 9-1/4" long x 4-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" side high (add 1-3/4" for the Rose), can hold up to 4 quarts (approx.) It is in good maintained (used) condition with no dings or dents. It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired, and is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing interior and exterior darkened tin which is to be expected with age --- the applied Rose underside area is more shiny. [NOTE: Magnet sticks to box.]Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1950-60's. This item weighs approx. 1-1/2 lbs., add 2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. Payment and shipping...
