Description: Up for sale here is this extremely rare vintage unbuilt Heathkit AA-161 tube amplifier kit, in the original box, with the paperwork. This is complete, including the tubes! I believe this is circa 1963, since the can capacitor is dated 1963. This is a NOS unbuilt kit, and it is complete. This is all NOS unused and unassembled, but there may be minor factory wear on parts--I do not know. It all looks really good to me though. The outer box is in good condition but has some wear and damage from storage/handling. There is some writing on one end of the box (see pic 2) and on the top (pic 4). The tubes are all there, and are the NOS unused tubes that came with it. The 6CA4 is a black-plate Mullard, and the EL84s are Daystrom-badged Hitachi EL84s. I have provided a LOT of pictures, so please take a close look at all of them so you can see what you're getting. The pictured item is exactly what you will be receiving. If you want to assemble this, please be aware that a 60-year-old can capacitor may not work properly, just FYI. This came from a collector's estate.
