Description: Tektites are lumps of a dark green glass created when asteroids strike the Earth and blast molten material into sublunar orbit, which circles the earth and comes back down, melting to form fascinating, lumps of this natural black glass. These come from the southeast Asian area, known as indochinites. Each kind of tektite bears the name of its location of finding. Moldavite is the most famous, clear green, and cutting nicely for jewelry. But Indochinites are the ones that grow to the largest sizes, and collectors love them. These are really nice and pristine examples without lots of chips and are hard to get. The big one is 93 grams and the smaller 91. With the postage included $65 for these two pieces is a very good price.
