Description: This lot consists of two old checks, dated 1957, from the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad Company, which was locatedin Belfast, Maine. The checks are both signed by the treasurer, whose name appears to Kenneth L. Taylor. The checks are also signed by general managerand auditor Wilfred I. Hall (1913-1988), who worked for the company for more than fifty years. One check was to the Central Maine Power Co.,of Waterville, Maine. The other check is to the Texas-Louisiana FreightBureau, which was headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The checks are in very good condition.
