Description: Two very different style Diné (Navajo) pieces of pottery. The shorter piece is by Monisha Etsitty who has a very good reputation as a potter. This pot was hand built and etched as well as glazed. You can see the warm terracotta colored clay in the design as well as on the inside. This pot is approximately 2” tall and 3” wide. The taller piece comes from Cedar Mesa and is also Diné. It stands at 6” and is around 2 1/2” wide at the base. The base color is cream with an earthy and black glaze. The design towards the base was etched. It is signed but I cannot make out the name.
