Description: Up for sale is a pair of Antq Carved Cedar Mallard Duck Drake and Hen used/weathered Decoys w/ Lead Belly Weights, both with chipped tails and the drake with a chipped bill. Total weight is 3.13 lbs. I could find no sign of a makers mark or initials. I'm going to describe the drake and hen separately: the drake: weighs 1.46 lbs., the body is 13" without the head and 15 1/2" long including the head. The body height is 3" and 5 3/8" tall with the head and the width of the body is 4 3/4". Embossed on the lead strap weight is SELBY BAR LEAD. The left glass eye is missing. A white caulking material was used to secure the head to the body. It is still secure but is a little wobbly. The lead strap is 9 3/4" long by 9/16" wide and was secured by 5 nails. The right side of the body has a number of shotgun pellets in the surface. There is a nail at the end of the lead strip below the head with a 3" black string tied to it.The hen: weighs 1.70 lbs. The lead weight is 6" long by 11/16" wide and is attached with two brass screw. A white caulking material was used to secure the head to the body. But, the head is now loose and can be pulled up off the dowel in the body. The paint on the bill looks newr that the rest of the worn and faded paint. The right side of the body has some pellet holes. My Grandpas name, Dan is written in red marker on the bottom. The tail is chipped, and the grain looks like cedar. The body is 13 1/2" long, with the head the total length is 16". Total height is 6 1/4", The body is 4 3/4" wide. Since the head is already loose, I'll remove it and pack it separately for shipping.
