Fostoria Glass Co. produced high-quality elegant glass tableware for nearly 100 years. Founded in 1887 in Fostoria, Ohio, they moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, in 1892. Today many of their pattern lines are highly sought after by collectors. This auction is for two (2) Vintage Fostoria Fairfax Orchid (Purple) Footed Cups & Saucers. Each cup, which is 2-3/8” tall and 3-3/4” in diameter (4-1/2” to the end of the handle), is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness or fleabites. Each saucer, which is 5/8” tall and 5-3/4” in diameter, is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or cloudiness but one has a minor chip on the bottom ring and the other has a minor chip on the outside which does not affect use or display. Each saucer has a beautifully ground and polished bottom ring. They give off an apple-green glow under black light. (18444D)
