MICKEY SPILLANE'S MIKE HAMMER, February 28, 1959, stars DARREN McGAVIN in "Husbands Are Bad Luck" with B Western star ALAN "ROCKY" LANE, Ann Robinson and Jean Willes. PLUS- an extra program: SIMON LASH starring JOCK MAHONEY as a Western themed Hollywood private eye. 1960. This is "The Black Book," the pilot episode, never broadcast, possibly from the only existing 16mm print. On this episode only, the picture is a bit jumpy during the first 5 minutes or so but then is okay. Great guest cast: ED KEMMER (Commander Cory of SPACE PATROL), WARREN STEVENS (of 77th BENGAL LANCERS and FORBIDDEN PLANET), Gregory Walcott (of 87th PRECINCT), Elaine Edwards (CURSE OF THE FACELESS MAN) and Walter Sande (Red Pennington in the DON WINSLOW series).
