This auction includes the artist signed guidebook, wood box with wood tray, one sealed deck of each type of playing cards, and one sealed deck of tarot cards. The box is made from laser cut panels, and honestly needs glued or taped to make the pieces stay together. There are some tiny pieces that apparently broke off when removed from the wood matrix (It arrived this way; see photo, top front corners), but this doesn't interfere with the function of the lid or box at all. Kickstarter description: This project will tell you what happened in Triora in the 16th century and why today it is called "THE LAND OF THE WITCHES". During that period in Triora there was the greatest WITCHCRAFT TRIAL that history can remember, many women died under the tortures of the inquisitors accused of having brought famines and being followers of the devil. Many people, especially American friends, know the events of SALEM, but what happened in Triora before the events of Salem is something tremendously wider and documented by the evidence of the trials kept in the archives. You will have the opportunity to read and know the whole history of Triora in this campaign, (you will discover everything about the triora witches congregation, about the characters, the places, their healing tools but also about their terrible poisons) by add to your pledges the book that Claude write in the past months after numerous visits to Triora that we will illustrate later...now we want to talk about the two decks: we create 2 different decks which take their names from two terrible poisons used by the witches of Triora, ATROPA BELLADONNA & DATURA STRAMONIUM. In Atropa Belladonna deck, the characters and the places are represented normally, in the pips is present an Atropa Belladonna plant, in the Datura Stramonium deck the presence of the devil influences all the characters and places represented, the Witches are revealed, the Inquisitors and judges are under threat from the devil, the places completely change their climate with the presence of witches, in the pips is present a Datura Stramonium Plant. We strongly also wanted to make a TAROT DECK together with the 2 playing cards decks in this project and given the position of Triora which is located almost on the border with France, we wanted to honor the greatest French esotericist and fortune teller Marie Anne Adélaide Lenormand, choosing the Lenormand Divination method rather than normal tarot cards. We create "BAGIUE LENORMAND FORTUNE TELLING DECK", a deck of 52 cards instead of 36 cards traditional lenormand deck, you will find the 36 traditional cards plus 16 extra cards that will give you a more precise reading.
