Description: This beautiful trinket box is a unique and handmade piece carved from a lovely dark patterned soapstone. Perfect for any room and occasion. It features a smooth finish, with an inlaid flower pattern made of mother of pearl and soapstone. The box is designed in a rectangle shape, measuring 2" x 3" x 1 1/4" with a lid. Perfect to hold your jewelry or other treasures. Item is smooth finished on the outside but has not been polished on inside portions, so there is some lighter colored parts. Carving is rustic, as is the inlay. Weighs approx. 8.4 oz. Sold as-is in pre-owned used condition with some surface wear and minor chipping from age and use. Artisan carving and shell inlay is manufactured in an irregular and rustic style. There are variations in color and some tool marks can still be seen. Lid sits atop the box with some loose movement.
