The instructions are in Japanese and I forget what the exact effect is. You get a double sheet of black plastic, affixed at the long sides. There is a rectangular hole in the center. Inside is a flap that flips back and forth when you squeeze the sides. You get two matching jumbo cards. I recall the effect was a visual change. This would be a fun item to play with if you are a creative person who likes to explore. Or translate the Japanese and you’ll instructions. Good condition, never sold. I played with it a few times.
