Description: This copy of Toody Byrd Talks and Talks, and Talks... is in good condition and full of Toody's pearls of wisdom sure to give readers lots of options to deal with strained personal interactions and general guidelines for a life focused on the important things. She makes great use of humor and has great examples of being careful what you wish for because you just might get it and then how to deal with the aftermath of success. Toody was a teacher and guidance counselor so this book is full of the wit and wisdom honed over many years of engaging with students and her own children. She seems to have an answer for everything and one answer is you can't fix everything. This book made me laugh out loud and I don't even have children and have never been a teacher but I did supervise people before I retired and I sure wish I had read this book while still working. There were also parts that brought a few tears to my eyes as in one case she described an angry frustrated child who brought a gun to school and was threatening people. In this case everything worked out fine and she used her listening skills to help this child cope with his situation. This copy is signed by Toody and personalized "For Kathy L & K, Toody Byrd".
