Description: This is Tonner's 16" Tyler Wentworth doll, the flagship 16" doll which ran until Tonner closed in 2018. Tonner was known for designing high quality vinyl dolls, with a painstaking eye for detail. She set the standard for other 16" fashion dolls, with articulated elbows and knees and a wardrobe full of luxury fabrics such as silk, linen and cashmere. Other 16" doll outfits such as those by the Franklin Mint, All About Eve, or Madame Alexander's Alex should also fit her body sculpt. This is the "Madison Avenue Afternoon" giftset, released in 2002 as a limited edition of just 500 pieces. The doll includes four different outfits in warm orange, red and gold tones, allowing varying combinations of the pieces. It includes a silk body suit, a striped knit dress, a red coat, gold vest, red skirt, and orange pants. Accessories include a matching bag and strappy heels, with beaded jewelry, sunglasses and a gold belt. This doll was purchased at a doll convention where Robert Tonner was present exhibiting, and so was signed by him with a permanent marker pen on her lower back (see pictures). Doll was removed from box to be signed and photographed but carefully returned to original packaging. Outfit pieces have never been removed from the box. The doll's hair is well styled and her clothing shows no signs of fading or damage. All pieces appear to be present. The box has some cosmetic damage to the surface from storage but is otherwise sturdy and in decent shape. Paper elements may have some discoloration. Some artificial materials or elastics might have degraded over time but were not tested.
