Description: Tolstoy on Art and its Critics, by Aylmer Maude, including a review of Tolstoy's 'What is Art?' by George Bernard Shaw (originally published in the Daily Chronicle in 1898). This pamphlet is from 1925, in softback format. The piece by Bernard Shaw is reproduced at the beginning, taking up around 8 pages. This is followed by a discussion of Bernard Shaw's review and comments from other critics. As can be seen in the photographs, the grey covers are a little spotted front and back, which carries through to the inside covers and the first and last pages only. However, the remainder of the interior is very good, again see photos. The corners and top/bottom of spine are slightly knocked, but not badly considering the age of the pamphlet. 32 pages including two pages of publisher adverts at the end.An interesting and fairly scarce publication. Cheapest on Bookfinder including postage is £49!
