This print coupled with her prints titled "A Vestige" and "Wonder", published at the same time, would make an amazing diptych or triptych . Shinoda's work complements any decor and adds beauty to any space - it would be right at home in modern settings as well as among antiquities. Sadly Shinoda-san died in March of 2021 and the age of 107. She stopped making prints in 2007. All prints were purchased from the publisher in Japan and guaranteed authentic. They have been carefully stored, handled minimally and come from a pristine, smoke-free environment. About the Artist Toko Shinoda was undoubtedly one of Japan’s leading artists of the 20th century. Her international acclaim is based on her dynamic calligraphy, sumi ink paintings and lithographs. She was one of the foremost calligraphers, painters and print makers in Japan. Shinoda-san is the master of an intricate manner of writing tracing back 3000 years. She adds strokes of color to each composition by hand and uses red, blue or gold sumi inks that are 300 to 500 years old. Shinoda’s works are in the National Museum of Modern Art - NewYork, the Guggenheim Museum - New York, the British Museum - London, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Singapore Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Cincinnati Art Museum, the Rockefeller and Ford Foundation collections. Her 28 meter long mural is in the Zojoji Temple in Tokyo and another large piece is in the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C
