Description: This is an all-bisque Nancy Ann Storybook Doll (NASB) from the 1940s. She is #153, Little Bo Peep has lost her Sheep. The doll's face is damaged with the flesh toned paint peeled off, though the bisque there is not chipped. The inside edge of her right black painted "shoe" is chipped. BUT... this is a good parts doll! If you need arms, this girl's arms are very nice with no chips. Her blond wig is full, uncut and in the original style with lots of wave. Her outfit is excellent and complete with the original headpiece. She wears a pink floral taffeta dress with a light blue organdy peplum, trimmed with pink ribbon. Underneath, it has an attached white cotton slip. She also wears white cotton pantalettes. The dress closes with a ribbon tie in back instead of the usual brass pin, denoting WWII production when metal was rationed. Her original foil wrist tag is here with the band torn from where it was taken off the wrist; this can be taped/glued. The original box has its foil label; it is lightly yellowed with age and has light marks, but is structurally sound and protects the doll well. Also included is the original NASB pamphlet from the 1940s, which is in the back of the box. Nonsmoking estate collection.
