Description: Offered here is a vintage classic Children's Nickel Magazine: "Tip Top Weekly No. 554, Dick Merriwell Repaid Or, The Heart Of Officer Maloney", November 24, 1906, approx. 10 7/8" X 8 3/8", Published by Street & Smith, New York. Issued weekly. In over-all fair or better condition, the covers are separated at the spine, there are tiny chips and closed tears on cover edges and tiny chips, the backside edges are reinforced along several areas with museum archival filmoplast paper tape. There tiny dark damp stains on the bottom edge - goes through the book, internal oxidation. VERY THIN paper. Came from the original family - purchased from a gentlemen whose great grandfather owned these originally. MANY of these early one have issues with the left side corners. I really believed they were clipped back in the day - maybe remainder stock?? Strange that the same exact corners on each one seem clipped.
