Description: Tim Buckley - Original Elektra USA LONGBOX CD: Lorca - 1992 CD issue of the 1970 LP Comments: I have owned this since the early 1990s when it was newly issued. Longbox Condition: This original Longbox looks really good. I gave it a EX grade. Please see the photos for the most complete view of condition because I might not describe everything in words. Use your zoom-in powers for a real close look! General wear is very light. Edge and corner wear is mild. There are no significant creases and no significant dents. There is a short crease visible on the front about midway at the right edge. I noticed some very faint foxing-like spotting/discoloration here and there. On the left side panel there are a few small gray colored spots that can be felt - so probably foreign matter. There is a small stain on the back at the bottom right corner. There are 3 sets of pinholes (2 near top corners top, 1 near center bottom) from spending time on a wall (see my generic explanation below). The longbox was carefully opened at the bottom leaving the flap intact and in good shape. The top flap is still sealed. This longbox has never been flattened and it retains its original 3-D form. CD Condition: The CD is in Excellent condition but there are some cloudy marks ringing the circumference outside of the play area which are probably light scuffs from use in my old jukebox style home CD changer years ago. I gave the CD a listen from start to finish just before offering this for sale. It plays just fine as expected. The fold-open front insert and the back tray card are in Near Mint condition although there are a couple of jewel case pinch impressions on the front insert. The jewel case is fully functional with some handling and storage scuffs. I noticed a short crack on the back that can't be felt from the outside of the case. Pin Holes Comment: Compared to some of the other flaws a longbox might have (crushed, crumpled, torn, banged up, flapless, flattened), I think pinholes are pretty minor as far as imperfections go. I only make a point of conspicuously mentioning them so you won't be surprised. Shipping Note: Of course I'll pack this well for secure shipping. When CDs were a new thing looking to be big enough to be seen amongst the LPs and longboxes were in fashion, I always carefully removed the CDs and put the longboxes in a safe place. They were part of the album's packaging for crying out loud! I couldn't throw them in the trash anymore than I could throw an LP cover in the trash. Not wanting to flatten the things out, they remained in their 3-dimensional state in box after box that I lugged around through many changes in houses over nearly 25 years. Around 2010, I decided that I had had enough of moving. I also had a large space that needed decorated with a music theme. The longboxes came out of storage and I carefully hung them on my soft walls with long ball-tipped straight pins. Now I'm ready to allow some of the longboxes to find new homes. There will be (generally) small pinholes. Don't worry about shipping. I won't flatten them out for convenience. They will be shipped in a box large enough to allow retention of 3-D form with some cushioning to ensure safe travels. Please see the photos provided for more condition details.
