Description: I have a rare Thorens TD-146 turntable for sale. I bought it several years ago at and estate auction. I had planned to refurbish it for one of my boys but we found another Thorens for him. This one has been completely checked out. Everything functions as it should and it is all original with no modifications. I have oiled the main turntable spindle and adjusted the chassis suspension to specs (7-9mm). It comes with a Grado GT cartridge. It plays fine but I don't know the age of the cartridge/stylus. The unit has a pristine face-plate and shows no sign of wear, same for the knobs and controls. The dust cover has scratches and one hinge is broken. The hinges can be found on eBay or Etsy for about $20. The inside of the unit is also pristine. It does not have many playing hours on the unit. The wires and connectors are in good conditions. I did add new feet to the unit and a new belt. It is rare to find one is this good of condition. The TD-146 has the auto lift/off function at the end of the record which a nice feature. Overall this is an excellent, hard to find Thorens.
