Description: Handwritten manuscript letter signed by Thomas Exley to Samuel Drew. Dated 1821. Folded at center. Of four sides two are full of text, one blank, and another has the address. Unfolded measures 14.5" x 9". Scarring to address side where letter was removed from autograph album, with one corner of paper loss. From the collection of Captain Peter Johnston-Saint, who worked for many years as an agent collecting on behalf of Sir Henry Wellcome. This collection was purchased at the Sotheby's December 10th, 2019 sale.
