Description: Antique Theodore B Starr Sterling Silver Swing Handled Grape Basket This charming antique sterling grape or sweetmeat basket measures 6" long by 5-1/2" to the top of the handle when upright. It weighs 188 grams or 6 troy ounces. The finely crafted wire work frame features overlapping spirals festooned with eight beautifully cast grape clusters with tendrils and leaves. The circular well of the basket has multiple reticulated and pierced clusters of grapes and leaves. The handle top repeats the grape motif and is stamped underneath with STERLING 2513. The base rests on four embossed leaf feet.
