Th. hexaedrophorus v. fossulatus is a miniature, usually unbranched at the roots, with flat to globose depressed stem, up to 4 inch in width, bluish-green to light green, sometimes bronzed in full sun, spines 7-10, brownish, strong. claw-like. Infundibuliform flowers appearing at the apex, diameter and height up to 2 inch, white and sweet scented. Originally from Salinas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.Plant ships bare root.
