Description: Published in 1928 by McClurg, Chicago. Hard cover with dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition. DJ has heavy wear - crease marks, surface scuffing, ink fading or loss, peeling in places. Edges are worn with some creasing and ink fading. Small pieces of DJ chipped off on top and bottom of spine and corners. Fortunately, not much ripping on DJ. Dark staining and toning on back of DJ. DJ flaps intact. Pen of previous owner on top of DJ. Fabric on hard cover boards has wear on edges and corners - on corners, fabric has receded a bit / fraying. Some corners curling in. Boards edges have some minor dings. Back board fabric has some minor dark and light splotching. Fore edge of text block has some dark blotching staining. Stamp and writing from previous owner on front endsheet. Pages toning around edges. A number of pages throughout the text block have soiling, blotchy dark staining or smudging (see photos for one of the most extreme examples) - none of these make the text unreadable. Some page corners were previous dog-earred. Some page edges have some minor creasing. Binding loose with age - splitting in the gutters in places throughout, but binding still holding together perfectly well, no loose chunks or pages. Text appears free of writing and marking and highlighting.
