The idea was that if they could break down the structure of their language, the results could be replicated. The resulting compilation of techniques and language patterns came to be known as NLP. These two books are the very hard to find original hardcover versions with the original dust jackets. It looks like both books have the front flyleaf cut out, probably where the previous owner’s name was.
