Description: "The Shuttle-Craft Book of American Hand-Weaving" was written by Mary Meigs Atwater. It was published in 1928 by the Macmillan Co. It is a hardcover book measuring 7.75x10". 275 glossy pages that show tanning due to age. The cover has edge and corner wear with the boards visible at the corners. The spine is faded from being on the shelf and there is wear at the top and bottom. The previous owner's name is stamped inside and there are stamps from a college inside the front and back. The previous owner made notes in the blank pages before the book begins and inside the back cover after the book ends. There is also a piece of paper attached with a paperclip inside the back cover. There is newspaper burn on the page opposite it. I have pictured all of these flaws. No ripped or missing pages, no dog-eared corners. The spine is loose and the sewn binding is visible inside. Some of the pages stick out from the book and show chipping on the edges. They are still attached,. Contains b/w illustrations. It contains instruction plus examples of: the language of weaving, hand weaving, spinning, looms, rug weaving, draft writing, double weave, twill, linen weaves, and much more.
