A few other pages with minor foxing. Binding is strong with slight lean and minor cracking to hinges , otherwise very nice, clean, complete, and tight. The second edition was issued just 10 days after the first, making this a very early copy of an American classic, as noted by the March date of the ads, same as the first edition. * This is the ACTUAL second edition of The Scarlet Letter. A lot of books listed on this site claim to be, but are much later editions printed by entirely different publishing houses.
