Description: The New Great Wall by David T. Morgan Late in the year of 2019 the United States and Mexico stand on the brink of war because, since 2016, the United States has been building a Chinese-like Great Wall along the southwestern boundary of the United States from Brownsville, Texas to Imperial Beach California. Mexico and Mexican-Americans are furious, in spite of the fact that Mexico is in the hands of a dictator named Eduardo Ramos, a former drug lord, who is ruining Mexico by filling his pockets with millions while the countrys problems are ignored. Ramoss efforts to thwart the building of the wall lead to political intrigue and attempted assassinations. The President of the United States, Theodore Collins, issues secret orders for the CIA to assassinate Ramos, while the Mexican dictator hires people to kill Collins, as well as former President Monty Rush (the President who initiated the construction of the wall) and Senator Billy Earl Davis of Texas, whose idea it was to erect the wall. The story takes many twists and turns, and two beautiful women are vitally involved in the ordered assassinations. It is a story filled with political intrigue, sex, and drugs, while the true reason for erecting the wall--keeping illegal Mexican aliens out of the United States--is seldom mentioned and quickly glossed over when it is mentioned. In the end, the wall is built and dedicated a little ahead of schedule in 2045, but where does this enormous barrier between the two countries leave relations between the United States and Mexico? The answer is in the book. FORMAT Paperback LANGUAGE English CONDITION Brand New Author Biography Morgan is a professional historian who spent 33 years in the college classroom.
