NICE! 2023 Mitchell MB100 Orange Gloss 4-Str Bass-1999 Peavey Milestone IV Neck

Description: The brand new 2023 out-of-the-box Mitchell MB100 Electric Bass body is constructed out of Basswood and has a Dual Cutaway with Forearm Bevel design offering an ergonomic connection between the player and instrument. Additionally, it has a highly contoured, compact body designed to increase playing comfort during long hours of play. The bass has black Dual Split + Single Coil pickups, a configuration offering a wide variety of tones and a deep punchy sound. There are two chrome volume knobs with a chrome master tone control allowing you to dial in a wide variety of sounds to cover any musical genre. The chrome bridge is fixed. The Mitchell website gives no indication of where their bass guitars or anything else they manufacture or sell are made. However, (some that consider themselves experts on the internet have knowledge to offer - I think I need a paper bag) and I have read this bass is manufactured by Cort (makers of Ibanez) in Korea…no China…no Viet Nam….wait Indonesia; actually, it’s top secret, but the Canadian government subsidizes a facility to make the bass guitar and it’s a store brand of The Guitar Center (named after founder, Wayne Mitchell); very specifically (lol) it’s made by an independent custom builder "up east" in the US. So, here’s the pop quiz: where is it made? On the other hand, all Peavey International Series Guitars and Basses are made overseas, mostly in Korea, but also in Viet Nam and China. The Peavey International Series Milestone IV Bass was manufactured 1999-2003. This neck was manufactured in Korea during 1999. It is a Rock Maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard and acrylic dot inlays. There are 20-frets that are 2.7mm wide x 1.1mm tall, made of nickel silver. It is a 34-inch scale neck with a 12-inch radius and a dual-expanding truss rod. The chrome, enclosed machine heads, are die-cast and have a 19:1 ratio. This is a classy classic neck. Scratches, etc. are as follows: The body is brand new, there may be some superficial stuff. The neck is in fantastic shape for a 1999! There are two screw holes showing from a previous body placement. They can be filled in if you so wish. They are shown in a couple of the photos along with a few very slight scrapes (so slight they really don’t show up). The fretboard is great and the tuners are shiny and work fine as does the truss rod. The Mitchell MB100-Milestone IV has been set up w/ Glarry Bass Strings (.045, .065, .08, .01).
