Description: Original antique two page illustrated article from The Illustrated London News in 1861, describing the production of the Enfield Rifle and featuring a stunning woodcut illustration of the various production processes at the factory at Enfield Lock, which was established in 1818. Fantastic piece of military history-print would look superb framed. Additional related & unrelated print on the reverse side of the pages. Good condition for an item that is over 160 years old, with general wear commensurate with its age, but no significant creasing or tearing. Please note; these are pages carefully retrieved from a no longer usable antique newspaper. They are original, but not a complete newspaper. Posting and Packaging: Due to large size of the pages (approximately 400 mm x 275 mm) they will be carefully packaged in a sturdy tube and posted by Royal Mail (small parcel). Please feel free to ask any questions and contact me if there are any issues with the item. Every effort will be made to resolve any problems. Thanks for looking.
