Description: A hardcover copy of 'The Life of the Bee' by Maurice Maeterlinck. This copy was published by Dodd, Mead, and Company in 1917. The outside of the book has some stains, as well as bump and rub wear along the edges. There is some bending to the corners and a few small tears to the top and bottom of the spine. Inside there is a previous owner's name written in pen on the front pasted down endpaper, as well as some pencil markings in the upper corner of the rear pasted down endpaper. The main pages of the book are free from any writing or markings. There are no dog eared corners, but there is some light bump wear to some of the corners. There is also some mild splitting between two pages at the front of the book, and some waviness to the pages from drying out after prolonged exposure to the Arizona heat.
