Author Biography Jeanne Mattei has been sketching these unique creatures for over twenty years. When she put the characters together in pairs and groups, she began to get a sense of "harmony". Even though they were all so strange and different from one another, they went so well together. These characters promote a sense of harmony because they accept and embrace their differences. This story is currently being used in a program for grades k-2 to support anti-bullying efforts in schools.
