With no hope of immediate rescue, they try to join the local community only to fall prey to paranoia, strange happenings, and obsessive local customs. One of the best recent folk horror movies, fans of "The Wicker Man", Robert Egger's "The Witch" and Edgar Allen Poe will find much to enjoy here. Sold performances by Conleth Hill (TV's "Game of Thrones"), Alex Hassell, Fisayo Akinade, Tom Butler Hart (who also directs).
