(I did find the exact same book listed as 1st edition, 2nd state. So it's possible that this was what we might call now a 1st trade edition.) There is a bookplate on the front pastedown. The text is unmarked, and the binging is sound, without any broken hinges or cracks. The spine is slightly cocked, and there is some accumulated dust on the to page block. Overall not bad copy for a nearly 100 year old book.
