Description: The Horse in Motion is a sequential series of photographs depicting the movement of a horse by Eadweard Muybridge in 1872. Muybridge's experiments proved that at a particular moment in a trotting horses gait, all four legs are off the ground simultaneously. It was an important step in the development of motion pictures for years to come. The image has been restored and enhanced and this print displays a much higher resolution and tonal range than the jpeg shown here. Our "open edition" photography prints sometimes referred to as "giclee" are made with pigment inks on museum grade paper to insure lasting archival quality. Comes in a bevel-cut antique white mat measuring 11 X 14 inches O.D. A very standard size for do it yourself framing (no frame included here). Backing is acid free 1/8 inch foamcore board. A clear protective sleeve protects your print prior to framing under glass. Free shipping in US. International shipping is by Ebay Global shipping only, check cost with Ebay.
