Description: Shah, Idries. The Exploits of the Incomparable Mulla Nasrudin. Jonathan Cape. London, 1966. 160pp, illus. “A collection of anecdotes and jokes drawn from Middle Eastern folklore and the Sufi mystical tradition, which feature the wise fool, Mulla Nasrudin.” ~ Idries Shah Foundation Description: A sound copy in red boards with black titles. Corners lightly bumped with some soil to boards. Page edges have some soil, foxing and small stains. Pictorial endpapers with some foxing and small spots. Binding is sound and text block is tight. A bump to fore edge about two inches from the top has left a small nick to the edge of a few pages (see photos). Numerous smudges and small spots throughout the text. Corner of page 71/72 was turned down at some point and long ago flattened. Dust jacket has soil, edge wear, rubbing to the extremities and chipping to the spine ends, corners and lower edge of rear panel. A new, removable Mylar jacket protector has been added. While I don’t minimize any of these issues, a sound hardcover copy of this sought after title is seldom found at this price. Questions gladly answered.
