Description: Please look at all TEN photos. This book is part autobiography/memoir and part history of Sparta and White County in Tennessee. This copy was inscribed, then SIGNED by the author, Bobby Anderson (1926-2019), on the front flyleaf. For many years he had been the owner and publisher of the EXPOSITOR newspaper in Sparta. The warm, personal inscription he wrote was to James (died 1983 at age 75) and Tillie Cardwell (died 2004 at age 93), both very well known, active citizens of the Sparta community. James had been associated with the Oldham Theater in Sparta from 1929 to 1977, when it closed. Tillie also worked there for many years. Published in 1976, the book is brown cloth hardcover, First Edition, 107 pages with 12 chapters. It is in Like New condition. I would have graded the DJ as being in Like New condition, but there is a 1/2" tear at the bottom right corner of the back cover No other condition issues. Laid in the book is an 8-1/2" x 11" order form from when the book was first issued. Also laid in are Anderson's business card and 3 pages of additional information about Anderson and the Cardwells. The book will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping. FREE SHIPPING & TRACKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bookseller since 1999.
