History is written by the victors, and that is what you get when you read anything about the Beatles with regard to Pete. The closest you'll get to the truth about what happened comes from Hunter Davies - Authorized Biography (written in the early 70's), and Mark Lewisohn's Tune In. People just don't want to know. Period. The only way you'll get the truth is after Paul and Ringo die. Authors simply don't want to risk their relationship and access to them to tell a story that nobody wants to know. But I do.
