The simulation is primarily of the land conflicts between the North and South with some secondary simulation of the Union Naval and Riverine forces. The game covers the entire war in seasonal turns. The game is a two player game. Each player moves his units and executes his attacks on enemy forces while attempting to fulfill the victory conditions. Punched counters are at most rated 9 due to being punched. I try to describe all of the defects that can be seen. It is hard to find copies of these games and magazines that are 40-50 years old in perfect 10 condition. Small pin holes in map corners are very common and minor flaws and are to be expected. Normally you will have to hold the map up to the light to see the pinholes. Counter frame bends are also very common and are only of concern if you are buying the game as collector.
