“THE ALLMAN BROTHERS AT FILLMORE EAST” 1971 2XLP Vinyl Capricorn 2CX 0131 (1974)

Description: This is an incredible piece of music history! The TESTED double LP vinyl record titled "The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East" is a must-have for any true rock fan. Originally released in 1971 by Capricorn Records, this vinyl has been well-preserved and is in excellent shape. Featuring the iconic band's electrifying live performance at Fillmore East, this record is a REISSUE from 1974 and includes the original inner sleeve and cover. The vinyl is 12" in size and plays at 33 RPM. The record grading is Very Good Plus (VG+) and the sleeve grading is also Very Good Plus (VG+). This vinyl is perfect for any collector or fan of the band. There is only the slightest of static crackle throughout only really noticeable during the quietest parts but sounds great cranked. The only flaw being the bottom corners of gatefold cover is starting to split(see last photo). Q. Why are they all laughing on the cover? A. It seems they were casually waiting outside The Fillmore East to pose for the great photographer Jim Marshal when an acquaintance of Duane happened to walked by and Duane approached him to purchase an “item” which he hid in his hand when the photo was snapped! This item will be shipped in a heavy duty cardboard mailer with each record in a new poly lined inner sleeve, along with the original inner sleeves and cover protected by a polyethylene outer sleeve. PS A few years ago in a store where I was working I was playing an interesting mix of music while this kind gentleman kept saying just barely loud enough for me to hear “I played with him…..I played with him……I played with him” to all these great artists. I didn’t recognize who he was and after having a nice conversation with him he put out his hand and asked my name and then he replied “Jaimoe” !!!!!!
